The Edible Cookie Dough Cookbook, Olivia Hops
❀ Quick and Easy
The recipes in this book are so quick and easy that they can be made by all ages. Also, the fact that raw egg is omitted and the flour is cooked (for a few minutes in the microwave), turns a favourite treat that has always raised eyebrows into one that can no longer be shamed for its unsafe ingredients. This is such a game changer.
❀ Simple Layout
The layout of this cookbook is just as simplistic as the recipes. There is a bit of history to read that describes Hops’ incredible journey to becoming a cookie dough connoisseur. Next, the technique to heat-treat your flour to make the doughs safe for eating is described. After that, there are 55 different dough flavours to try, including a classic chocolate chip and a cheesecake dough. Hops has even included a few recipes that take the doughs beyond the bowl. Making your own cookie dough ice cream or sundaes has never been easier.
❀ A Great Resource
The Edible Cookie Dough Cookbook by Olivia Hops is such a great resource for a quick treat. It really does only take a few minutes to prepare and the results are so yummy. I happened to have the Nutella cookie dough ingredients on hand, so it is the recipe that got the honours for this review. It is honestly so much fun to prepare and makes way more dough than I had expected. There was lots to share and is just as delicious as it looks.
Yummy! I love cookie dough.
I’ve never been one to eat cookie dough, but I’ve found I don’t mind cookie dough ice cream so I might like some of these recipes. Glad you were able to try one!

My daughter needs this cookbook. I’m putting it on her Christmas gift list.
She likes to get a jar of edible cookie dough when we shop at Fresh Market, but it’s around $8 so I only let her get once in a while.
