Summary (from Goodreads):

Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.

There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.
It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.

With his new novel, David Levithan, bestselling co-author of Will Grayson, Will Grayson, and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, has pushed himself to new creative heights. He has written a captivating story that will fascinate listeners as they begin to comprehend the complexities of life and love in A’s world, as A and Rhiannon seek to discover if you can truly love someone who is destined to change every day.

Book vs. Movie: Every Day

When I first learned that David Levithan’s book, Every Day, was going to be made into a movie, I was thrilled. The concept is so unique and the experiences that A, the main character, has waking up as someone new each and every day are eye-opening. The film, however, is quite disappointing and does not do the book justice.

Review: Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

Review: Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson is a book that I had high expectations for, since it seemed like exactly my kind of book: boarding school thriller. I don’t have much experience with Maureen Johnson’s books, but after reading this one, I will definitely have to check them out. This book contains two connected mysteries and many peculiar characters. I enjoyed the use of flashbacks, which is not a common occurrence, and the shocking plot twists. The ending bothered me, but I am all the more excited for the next instalment.

Sam & Ilsa’s Last Hurrah, David Levithan

Sam & Ilsa's Last Hurrah, David Levithan

Sam & Ilsa’s Last Hurrah by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan is a book that I am highly anticipating. I have usually enjoyed books written by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. Some have been misses for me, but I really enjoyed Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares quite a bit. It sounds as though this book is written in the same tradition of that series, so I am here for it. I have a feeling that there is going to be lots of humour to this story as the night unfolds. Continue reading

Review: Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu

Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu is a book that I had very high hopes for, since I enjoy Batman’s story and Marie Lu is one of my all-time favourite authors, and I can definitely say that I was not disappointed. This book is an action-packed Batman origin story, and the main characters are so developed. It is also well-written and does the franchise justice. I would say that this fantasy story is definitely worth the read, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series to be released. Continue reading
