Review: Modern Mediterranean by Marc Fosh
I have always wanted to travel to the Mediterranean and Marc Fosh has definitely provided me with a small taste for the area. The book begins with a little history about the author and his philosophy regarding fresh, seasonal, and local food. It is one that is admirable, however, living in Canada does provide challenges in creating these recipes using local ingredients.

Cherry Tomato, Pomegranate and Feta Salad
The way that the book is divided into sections based on a single ingredient is quite intriguing. For example, there are options based on almonds, chocolate, lamb, and olive oil. All of the flavours of the region are explored and celebrated in this Mediterranean cookbook.

Peach and Raspberry Sangria
❀ Will Give You the Travel Itch
While I found quite a few yummy and unique recipes in Modern Mediterranean by Marc Fosh, some of the items are either expensive or not easy to find where I live. If you are a fan of the area or the cuisine, this is definitely one collection of recipes to check out. It has given me a real travel itch!
I just love to eat.. That is all I have to say. I just love to eat!
lol Same! 🙂
Aw that’s a shame some of these end up being too expensive or hard to find! I agree, they all look super yummy and healthy – two elements I try to incorporate in my diet as much as possible (it’s true, I promise I don’t JUST eat chocolate :P)
Haha! I have to admit that I am a fan of chocolate as well! It is a great collection of recipes if this is a style you enjoy. 🙂
We used to have a Mediterranean restaurant near where I live. It was some time ago so I don’t remember the names of the dishes I tried. I do remember enjoying them though:) I can get into traveling vicariously through food. LOL

I agree! I think that Mediterranean restaurants are my favourite. The decor is enough to whisk you away sometimes. 😉
