Supernova by Marissa Meyer is the conclusion to the Renegades series, and I must admit I had very high hopes for it. This story of good and evil is fast-paced, and the characters are all so complex. That being said, I was disappointed by the ending, which is underwhelming compared to the rest of the series.

All's fair in love and anarchy...
The epic conclusion to Marissa Meyer's thrilling Renegades Trilogy finds Nova and Adrian struggling to keep their secret identities concealed while the battle rages on between their alter egos, their allies, and their greatest fears come to life. Secrets, lies, and betrayals are revealed as anarchy once again threatens to reclaim Gatlon City.

Review: Supernova by Marissa Meyer
This book is action packed as it depicts the final battle between good and evil while Nova and Adrian attempt to keep their identities secret. Torn between good and evil, Nova must decide where her loyalties truly lie. I love how tense this series is as the Renegades come closer and closer to learning who Nova truly is, and the fight scenes are so well written. This book is quite the rollercoaster, and I was hooked the entire time.
❀ Fantastic Characters
Marissa Meyer’s cast of characters is always fantastic, and each one is well developed. Nova is still a strong and clever main character, however I don’t know if I liked her as much as I did before. Some of the decisions she makes and the way she treats others frustrated me, and while I understand her position, all the lying was too much for me, especially the dishonesty with Adrian. However, I did still enjoy her narration.
❀ Anticlimactic Ending
The one aspect where the book fell flat for me was the ending. I won’t spoil anything, but I found it very anticlimactic for such an action-packed read. I don’t think the direction the author chose solves anything, and after three incredible books, I was expecting something a little more exciting. Even so, I will say that the build-up is still solid and engaging.
❀ Filled With Action
Supernova by Marissa Meyer is the finale of the Renegades series, and it is filled with action and suspense. I loved the fight scenes as well as the cast of characters. However, the ending fell flat for me, and I wasn’t left as satisfied as I had been anticipating.
I skipped reading the review part because I haven’t read the second book yet. I’m sorry the ending fell flat for you! That’s really a bummer! I’ll try to lower my expectations when I finally get to it.

I have only read the first book in this series and I really enjoyed it. Bummer about the anti-climactic ending though. Especially for the finale.
