Welcome to this week’s edition of Wishlist Wednesday! I am featuring a debut author today, Nisha Sharma, and I am so excited about her new book, My So-Called Bollywood Life. Read on to learn more about this new title releasing this spring!
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about and have yet to read. It is a spin-off of the original meme, Waiting on Wednesday that was formerly hosted by Breaking the Spine.
This Week’s Book: My So-Called Bollywood Life

Author: Jacqueline Firkins
Publisher: HMH Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: December 17, 2019

In this charming debut about first love and second chances, a young girl gets caught between the boy next door and a playboy. Perfect for fans of To All The Boys I've Loved Before.
Mansfield, Massachusetts is the last place seventeen-year-old Edie Price wants to spend her final summer before college. It’s the home of wealthy suburbanites and prima donnas like Edie’s cousins, who are determined to distract her from her mother’s death with cute boys and Cinderella-style makeovers. Edie has her own plans, and they don’t include a prince charming.
But as Edie dives into schoolwork and applying for college scholarships, she finds herself drawn to two Mansfield boys who start vying for her attention. First there's Sebastian, Edie’s childhood friend and first love. He’s sweet and smart and . . . already has a girlfriend. Then there's Henry, the local bad boy and all-around player. He’s totally off limits, even if his kisses are chemically addictive.
Both boys are trouble. Edie can’t help but get caught between them. Someone's heart is going to break. Now she just has to make sure it isn't hers.

Thoughts
I am loving these Indian-themed books right now! There is nothing more entertaining and interesting than learning about a new culture. The Bollywood aspects of this one just sound like so much fun. It reminds of When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon. Looking forward to reading this one in the spring!
Ahhh this one sounds great! This is the first time I’m hearing about it, thanks for putting on my radar ^_^

I love watching those Bollywood films, so this should be a good one! 🙂
This is not a book that I would generally pick up. But I am glad that I read the synopsis, because this sounds really good! I am definitely interested in it!
The cover is a bit deceiving! 🙂
Yes! I just had this on my list of spring reads I wish I had. She had me at Bollywood for sure, but kept me with all that prophecy vs. heart stuff. Love it! Need it!

Same! Bollywood is such a great theme! 🙂
I’m kind of baffled by the Bollywood thing that is going on lately. I feel like I’ve been under a rock and missed some important news flash!

Ha! I am seeing a lot of K Dramas lately as well. It’s certainly not a new thing, but I think it is something that we are seeing more and more on our side of the world. 🙂
I’m so looking forward to this book! 🙂
