The Cousins by Karen M. McManus ia an intriguing new YA mystery releasing this fall. I have yet to read this author’s other novels, but I keep hearing such wonderful things. The summer resort and island setting are enough to capture my interest. I can’t wait to find out what this secretive dark past is all about. Continue reading
Skyhunter by Marie Lu is a new sci-fi series from one of my favourite authors that has me super excited. Non-stop action and young warriors??! This sounds like my kind of dystopian novel! Love, Creekwood by Becky Albertalli is a novella in the Simonverse series that is all about the characters from Creekwood High. This series seems to change its titles with the wind! I just discovered this novella last week and it is set to release in June to coincide with the new television series that is coming to Hulu. I am excited about the show and this book will definitely help with the wait. It will be fun to see where Albertalli takes these characters next. Continue reading
Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer is a new YA contemporary that sounds intriguing. This book actually sounds like more of a magical realism story to me. I love the concept and the idea of casting karma intrigues me. I look forward to seeing how it all plays out. The cover is also super cute. Continue reading
The Other Side of the Sky by Amie Kaufman and Megan Spooner seems like a perfect sci-fi escape read right now and this one has me excited. I am in love with so much about this new series so far! That cover is absolutely amazing and the fact that it is a Miyazaki inspired fantasy world has me so intrigued. So much anticipation for this one! Continue reading
