For small-town girl Blakely Henry, any hope of finding her biological parents died when she stopped believing in fairy tales and Disney princesses. That is, until she spots her boarding school’s new British exchange student, Max Ryder, staring at her. Why would a boy who looks like he stepped out of the pages of a magazine be looking at her? Because Max knows something Blakely doesn’t.
Following the tragic demise of one of Europe’s most beloved royal families, Max has stumbled upon information he thinks may lead to a lost royal heir, and now he is on a quest halfway around the world to see if he’s right.
Sworn to secrecy by his university professor and the headmaster of Lakeview Academy, Max is admitted into an exchange program with the sole purpose of finding out the truth. But will his personal feelings for Blakely get in the way?
When a stolen email surfaces, Blakely and her friends’ lives are threatened, and Max starts to question what he is really after.
From the exclusive rolling lawns of Canada’s most prestigious boarding school to the University of Saint Andrews’ hallowed grounds, Blakely’s quiet, unassuming life is turned upside down. Is she really who she thinks she is? Can she survive long enough to help Max unearth the truth?

Review: Hush by Stacey R. Campbell
Hush by Stacey R. Campbell is a very intriguing book to read. It is filled with mystery, suspense and royalty. Also, it is set in a prestigious Canadian boarding school, which I loved! Boarding school books are a definite yes for me. This was totally my kind of book!
❀ Incredible Concept
The storyline for Hush is incredible! It’s not everyday that I read about an adopted girl who is secretly a long-lost princess! Stacey R. Campbell introduces the characters and describes the setting amazingly! There isn’t an overload of details all at one. The reader gets to know the characters and envision the setting in a carefully mastered manner.
❀ Loveable Characters
One thing that draws me into this story are the characters. They are so loveable! When I met Blakely, the main character, I instantly loved her sense of humour and sarcasm. I love when characters have sass! Then, I was introduced to the other characters and knew right away that Hush would be an amazing story!
❀ Refreshing Book
Finally, Hush is a very refreshing book to read. With each chapter, there is an alternate perspective. Sometimes it’s Blakely, sometimes it’s Blakely’s friend Max. At one point it is even Max’s professor! I always enjoy books with multiple perspectives. This writing technique always gives the reader more plot details and character insight.
❀ Boarding School Book
Hush by Stacey R. Campbell is definitely a book for those who enjoy books about boarding schools or royalty. This book is similar to The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot and Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. If you are a fan of either of those books, I would strongly recommend this book to you!
