Review: Steadfast by Claudia Gray
Steadfast by Claudia Gray is a thrilling witch book with an amazing villain that will keep you guessing. Witches and demons make an appearance in this creepy urban fantasy. It is so unique and almost impossible to put down!
❀ Amazing Witch Book
Steadfast is one of the very few YA witch books. I fell in love with this book at the very first page! I really love this genre and the lack of books in it is a little disappointing. The description of spells and supernatural powers is astonishing. I would definitely recommend this one if you are also a fan of witch books.
❀ Multiple Perspectives
There are many different perspectives in Steadfast. I am a big fan of books that contain each character’s point of view, so Steadfast was right up my alley! I love how the reader can learn what every character is thinking, which can offer more insight and drama to the plot. In this case, readers will be able to learn all about evil Sorceress, Elizabeth’s plan to bring the One Beneath, the ruler of the underworld, to Earth and Nadia, the witch against her,’s plan to stop her at the same time.
❀ Entertaining Villain
I absolutely loved Elizabeth, the villain! She creates such intricate and cruel plans that are so interesting to read about. I also enjoyed how she has recruited a slave from the underworld to help her with her evil scheme. In my opinion, one of the things that makes a fantasy novel so enjoyable to read is the villain and how they act. Steadfast definitely possesses an entertaining lawbreaker.
If you enjoy books like Hexed by Michelle Krys, I strongly recommend Steadfast by Claudia Gray to you. These books are both paranormal/witch novels that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
