Snowed Over by Angie Stanton is a book about finding love while stranded in a snowstorm. I enjoyed the warm feelings this concept provides, and both the main characters are enjoyable. This is a quick and fun read that is perfect for the holidays.

To college student, Katie Brandt, ‘Home for the Holidays’ sounds like hell. When her parents separated, their holiday traditions shattered like a dropped ornament. What could be worse than celebrating Christmas with her suddenly single mom and mom’s new boyfriend?
Alex Walker, an engaged 20-year-old, dreads going home for his own reasons. He has a daunting task ahead of him and wishes he could skip the holidays altogether. So when a friend of a friend needs a ride north, Alex finds that having beautiful Katie seated by his side proves to be just the distraction he needs.
A simple ride home for Christmas turns into a nightmare when light snow rages into a full-scale blizzard. Katie and Alex find themselves stranded, and a vacant cabin becomes a haven from the storm.
Under different circumstances, time alone with Alex would be the ultimate Christmas gift, but Katie knows Alex is engaged and she must hide her growing attraction. However, Alex harbors a secret that just might change this holiday from the worst Christmas ever, to the best.

Book Review: Snowed Over by Angie Stanton
This book tells the story of a girl who is on her way home for Christmas and catches a ride with a friend of a friend whom she has never met. However, the trip quickly goes wrong when the two end up stranded during a blizzard. This story is filled with cosy vibes, especially in the cabin setting, and I enjoyed reading about how Alex and Katie slowly fall for each other while they are trying to stay warm in the storm. Honestly, the book is quite unrealistic, but this is something I am willing to overlook since it is a short and sweet holiday read.
❀ Enjoyable Characters
I enjoyed both Alex and Katie’s characters, and their dialogue is so much fun to read. I especially sympathized with Katie since it is her first Christmas after her parents’ divorce, and she is a kind and rational main character. Alex is also interesting to read, but there is one thing about him that I am still not quite sure how I feel. He is engaged but planning on cancelling the wedding, and he still falls in love with Katie. The fact that he has not yet broken up with his fiancée before going for Katie even though he intends to makes him kind of a cheater, which I didn’t love. But other than that, I found Alex to be sweet, and I enjoyed reading about his connection with Katie.
❀ Cute Holiday Read
Snowed Over is a cute holiday read about being stuck in a snowstorm. I enjoyed the cute and cosy concept as well as the main characters. I would recommend this one as something short to read on a winter day.
The cover is attractive, but I’m not sure I would want to be stranded in a snowstorm long enough to fall in love! Best wishes to the author on the novel.
Haha! Yes! That would be quite a commitment! 🙂
The cover is awesome!
I agree! 🙂
What a cute cover! I would also have an issue with Alex making moves before actually ending his other relationship- that would totally distract me from their cute romance.
Yeah. It is something that I didn’t really find enjoyable to read about.
This book sounds like a wonderful read.
It is a great holiday story, for sure! 🙂
This book cover is adorable. I agree with you, the fact that he was engaged but still falling for someone else would bother me, too.
Yes. It definfilety affected my enjoyment of the novel. 🙂
Looks like a good book for a winter’s night.
Absolutely! 🙂
I don’t like cheaters either!!! I think it would have dampened my enjoyment as well.
Yup! It is just not my cup of tea. 😉
I liked when the characters get trapped together and then the sparks fly. I have also enjoyed many of Stanton’s books in the past. I will have to check this one out
I am curios to read some more of her work! 🙂
Hmm I think I’d have a problem with the cheating aspect, but it does have a cute cover and concept. Great review!
It is one to try, for sure! 🙂
I love books where the characters are stranded together. The cover looks cute and this book sounds really good.
It is one of my favourite holiday themes! 🙂
