I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson has to be one of the best books that I’ve read this year. There is so much jam-packed into this story, that there is a lot of processing that the reader has to do once the book is read. This novel is not only an addictive book about art, it is also phenomenally written. As well, there are two different narrators who offer constructing sides to the story and give real depth to its plot . All of the elements combine to make I’ll Give You the Sun so unputdownable! Review: All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven is a hard book to review. It definitely took me on a roller coaster ride! I was a bit skeptical when I started reading this book because of all the comparisons to The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. I sometimes caught myself comparing the aforementioned books to All the Bright Places as I was reading. These comparisons are a disservice to the book. It is a riveting story about friendship, mental health, and suicide. Continue reading
