Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee by Jeff Zentner

Rayne & Delilah's Midnite Matinee by Jeff Zentner

Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee by Jeff Zentner has such a fantastic concept. I really loved Zentner’s Goodbye Days and I am really excited about this next novel because the main theme is friendship. Also, how cool is it that the main characters host a creature feature show? The story that the author has posted on Goodreads about the inspiration behind the novel is one of the coolest things I have come across in a while. Continue reading →

We Set the Dark on Fire, Tehlor Kay Mejia

We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Kay Mejia is a dystopian that this one sounds incredible. I am immediately drawn into this book because of the forbidden love trope. The concept is so intriguing and the cover is just so pretty. It also sounds a bit like The Handmaid’s Tale with its polarized society. Looking forward to finding out more about this one in the spring!

Superman: Dawnbreaker, Matt de la Peña

Superman: Dawnbreaker, Matt de la Peña

Superman: Dawnbreaker by Matt de la Peña is a book that I am highly anticipating. I have enjoyed all of the titles in the DC Icons series so far, and I am really pumped for this next instalment. I am not very familiar with de la Peña’s work, but I did enjoy his short story in My True Love Gave to Me. For a girl who is quite unfamiliar with the whole world of superheroes, this series has really opened up a whole world for me. I can’t wait to find out how the action story of Superman is portrayed in this one. Continue reading →
