Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth is a book that has me intrigued. I am very interested in the space setting. I have read a pretty limited amount of books set on different planets, but I seem to enjoy every one I read. I am super excited for this book and can’t wait until January!
Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth

Author: Veronica Roth
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Publication Date: January 17, 2017

In a galaxy powered by the current, everyone has a gift.
Cyra is the sister of the brutal tyrant who rules the Shotet people. Cyra’s currentgift gives her pain and power—something her brother exploits, using her to torture his enemies. But Cyra is much more than just a blade in her brother’s hand: she is resilient, quick on her feet, and smarter than he knows.
Akos is the son of a farmer and an oracle from the frozen nation-planet of Thuvhe. Protected by his unusual currentgift, Akos is generous in spirit, and his loyalty to his family is limitless. Once Akos and his brother are captured by enemy Shotet soldiers, Akos is desperate to get his brother out alive—no matter what the cost.
Then Akos is thrust into Cyra's world, and the enmity between their countries and families seems insurmountable. Will they help each other to survive, or will they destroy one another?
Carve the Mark is Veronica Roth's stunning portrayal of the power of friendship—and love—in a galaxy filled with unexpected gifts.

Book Quotes: Carve the Mark
Soft hearts make the universe worth living in.
I may be in pain, but I am not weak.
So, throw honor out the window.” “Honor,” I said with a snort. “Honor has no place in survival.
I randomly spotted this on Amazon a couple of days ago and got extremely excited. It seems to have been kept very quiet (or maybe it’s just me). Also spotted a Stephanie Meyer coming out next month which really caught me by surprise. How have I not been hearing about these books???
I haven’t heard a lot about this one since they first announced she was writing it. I guess because no ARCs are available, there is less buzz. I am excited to find out if it is as good as her Divergent series! 🙂
She wrote a short story for Summer Days and Summer Nights which was really good so I have high hopes.
I love Veronica Roth!! It will be interesting to see how the setting plays out in the book. I thought Enders Game was pretty good…so we will have to see!!
I know, right?! That will be one interesting setting, for sure! 🙂
I’m so excited for this one too! I’m intrigued to see how this story turns out, because the plot definitely sounds interesting!
It has been a while since we have seen anything from Veronica, so I have my hopes set high for this one! 🙂
I’m really interested to see how this one turns out too. I’ll be getting my hands on it as soon as I can. Have a great week!

January seems so far away, but I am sure that it will be here before we know it! 🙂
I only every read Divergent due to things I heard about continuing on but I enjoyed it. Dystopians aren’t really my thing so this seems a lot more up my street and I had no clue it this was even coming out. Onto my release calendar ti goes!
Yay!! I hope that it proves to be a book that you enjoy! 🙂
I am definitely curious about this book, though Allegiant has made me wary of Veronica Roth books, even though I loved both Divergent and Insurgent. Hopefully this one is amazing! Great pick ^_^

I am very excited for this one as well. I loved the first book Divergent, so maybe I’ll love this one as well! Great pick!
Check out my WOW
I don’t even care what the book is about because the author can do no writerly wrongs. Luckily, the book sounds FANTASTIC and the cover kicks some serious arse!
I really love the cover, and the plot sounds really interesting.
