Sisters of Sword and Song by Rebecca Ross is a YA standalone fantasy novel has me really excited. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that the cover was the first thing that had me adding this book to my TBR. It really does have a way of luring you in. I have yet to read any of this author’s novels, but they seem to be quite popular. I look forward to finding out more about this YA mythology book set in Ancient Greece. Continue reading

Love, Life, and the List by Kasie West is a story about art and self-improvement. While the premise has promise, I was disappointed by the lack of descriptions of the main character’s art as well as the forced romance. On top of this, the main character’s sarcasm is taken too far and becomes both tired and almost disrespectful. I had such high hopes for this one, but unfortunately, it does not measure up to Kasie West’s other works. Continue reading

Clique Bait by Ann Valett sounds like a page-turning revenge story. I am a huge Jenny Han fan, so I am intrigued by the Burn for Burn comparison in the synopsis.
