Summer TBR Wipeout 2016 Sign-Ups

Welcome to the Summer TBR Wipeout for 2016! I am super excited about this event because I have a mountain of books that I am planning to read this summer. I don’t know about you, but I am always buying books, shelving books and planning to read books. Unfortunately, I am not always successful when  it comes to reading all of them! Here is where the Summer TBR Wipeout party begins. I thought it would be encouraging and loads of fun to host an event that is very low-key, yet provides a great opportunity to read some of those books we have all been eyeing on our shelves, together.

To make the Summer TBR Wipeout simple and inclusive to everyone, I am opening this up to anyone who wants to participate. You do not have to run a book blog or a website for that matter. All that I ask is that you create your posts on some sort of social media website, such as Instagram, Facebook or Tumblr, etc. You can also read backlist books, ARCs, new releases or anything else that has been beckoning you to read it. There will be 4 posts in total that you can link up to here on The Candid Cover. To sweeten the deal, I will also be giving away a book of choice from the Book Depository worth up to $20 CAD. As always the giveaway is open internationally as long as TBD ships to you!

June 18- July 3: Sign-ups open!

July 3: Introductory post- What books are you planning to read this summer?

July 17: Update post #1- Tell us how your reading has been going so far. What books have you read? Were they enjoyable? What’s next on your TBR? Etc.

July 31: Update post #2

August 14: Wrap-up post- How did your summer reading go? Did you wipeout some books from your summer TBR?

Don’t forget to check back during the event to link up your posts and earn points for the giveaway! I can’t wait to dive into my summer reads and find out what is on everyone else’s TBRs this summer. Here’s to a successful summer of reading!

So, what are you waiting for? Sign-up and wipeout that Summer TBR!

Now, start earning those Rafflecopter points so that you can win another book to add to that TBR!

I might have to consider joining this readathon! I haven’t participated one in awhile and it falls during the mid-year holidays for me. I’m Australian so it’s actually the middle of winter but I always need an excuse to cut down the TBR. *Fingers crossed* that I’ll be able to join.

This is such a fun idea! Definitely a great way to knock some books off the TBR! Some books I am hoping to knock off are: We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson, Empire of Dust by Eleanor Herman, The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye, and ACOMAF by Sarah J. Maas.

    Thanks for hosting!

I really want to join but I’m a bit hesitant, for a few reasons. One is that I don’t technically have a huge TBR pile. Also, I’m a bit worried that I might not be able to read as much as I would like to (for some reason, my family decided to plan so many activities!) Lastly, school starts on the 8th of August for me. I hope you, and all the participants enjoy this challenge though. Happy reading!

Damn I signed up cause I really wanted to be a part of some readathon cause I am really lagging behind on my goodreads goal. In my haste of doing that, I didn’t notice the Bookdepository thing, TBD just stopped shipping to India two-three months ago. They say they’re going to start back again but dunno when so I have pull my sign up back. Sorry. But good luck with this!

Does Amazon ship to you? If you won, I would be willing to look at options that are close to you. 🙂 I hope that TBD starts shipping to you again. I always go with them because of their international shipping, so I am a little disappointed to hear that they don’t ship to you!

This is such a fun challenge! I’m an over-buyer when it comes to books so I REALLY need to focus on reading things I already own this summer. I just queued up my intro post! First up for me is the first Game of Thrones book, followed by much fluffier reading!
