Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today’s Teaser Tuesday: The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid

Author: S.J. Kincaid
Publisher: Simon and Schuster Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: November 1, 2016

A Diabolic is ruthless. A Diabolic is powerful. A Diabolic has a single task: Kill in order to protect the person you’ve been created for. Nothing else.
For Nemesis, that person is Sidonia, heir to the galactic Senate. The two grew up side by side, and there’s no one Nemesis wouldn’t kill to keep her safe. But when the power-mad Emperor summons Sidonia to the Imperial Court as a hostage, there is only one way for Nemesis to protect Sidonia.
She must become her.
Now one of the galaxy’s most dangerous weapons is masquerading in a world of corrupt politicians and two-faced Senators’ children, and Nemesis must find within herself the one thing she’s been told she doesn’t have—humanity. With the Empire beginning to fracture and rebellion looming, that could be the one thing that saves her and the Empire itself.

This book is really interesting so far! There is so much going on already and I am having a hard time putting it down. The idea of Red Queen meets The Hunger Games is really exciting for me, and I can’t wait to keep reading.
Book Quotes: The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid
“The Emperor wishes me to send my innocent little lamb to the slaughter. No. Instead, I’ll send him my anaconda.”
Sounds like a really fun read.

I loved that quote and actually used it on an earlier teaser. LOL I’m finally getting back to this one and can’t wait to see how it ends!

OMG!! That is hilarious! 😂
I’m curious about the world Kincaid has created. Sounds like there’s lots of drama in this plot.

I wish that I had given it a little more of a chance. I didn’t get much farther than the second chapter. Maybe I should try again?
