No Love Allowed by Kate Evangelista has it all: a fake relationship, a character will a mental illness, and so much more. The main character is artistic and just plain likeable. This is a super quick read with just the right amount of seriousness and fluff.

It's all fun and parties until someone falls in love in this modern fairy tale from author Kate Evangelista.
Caleb desperately needs a fake girlfriend. Either he attends a series of parties for his father’s law firm with a pretty girl on his arm, or he gets shipped off to Yale to start a future he’s not ready for and isn’t sure he wants. And sadly, the last unattached girl in his social circle has just made the grievous mistake of falling in love with him. Fortunately, Didi, recently fired waitress and aspiring painter, is open to new experiences. As the summer ticks by in a whirl of lavish parties, there’s only one rule: They must not fall in love!

Book Review: No Love Allowed by Kate Evangelista
No Love Allowed has such an entertaining concept! In this book, a rich boy meets a girl who doesn’t have nearly as much money as he does and recruits her as his fake girlfriend. I love these fake girlfriend books because it is always so interesting wondering if anyone is going to find out. This book had me laughing, especially when a jealous ex got involved, and it is such a quick read. I was able to read it in one day.
❀ A nice Balance of Fluff and Serious
I really enjoyed the mental health awareness in No Love Allowed. The main character has a mental illness, something I haven’t read in a while. What I liked about the way this book incorporated it was how it wasn’t actually the main focus of the story. Yes, there are some serious moments, but most of the book was about the fake relationship. I appreciated this because in the summer, I don’t like to read books that deal with heavier topics. This is a nice book to read if you like a balance between fluff and seriousness.
❀ Hilarious Main Character
Diana is such a good character for No Love Allowed. She is hilarious and not afraid to tell people what she wants. She paints as well, another trait that I admire since I have no artistic skill. Diana is so determined to help her mom out and earn money for medical bills, which I thought was so sweet of her. Her life is pretty difficult, yet she still remains so positive.
❀ Perfect Spring Read
No Love Allowed by Kate Evangelista features a fake relationship and a character with a mental illness. The main character is very likeable and full of joy, which made me like the book so much more. This is a perfect read for the spring!
