The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi is one of the few books that was able blow my mind and leave me in awe. It is based on Indian mythology, which was new to me, but definitely something that I enjoyed. The main character is brave and intelligent, which I always love to see. This book is about a countess who disguises herself as a maid, and has a setting that is a cross between Elizabethan and the gold rush.
