How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather is an atmospheric duology that I struggled to put down. Inspired by the author’s own family history, this YA book series puts a modern spin on the Salem Witch Trials and the Titanic. Review: Tessa & Weston: The Best Christmas Ever
Tessa & Weston: The Best Christmas Ever by Abbie Emmons is a charming Christmas story highlighting family and forgiveness. This one takes place shortly after the events of 100 Days of Sunlight, and I enjoyed getting back into the story with its lovable main characters. As a holiday romance, this one promises plenty of winter fun, and I loved all the festive activities throughout the book. This is the perfect book to curl up with over the holidays. Continue reading

While on the surface, this book seems like it is going to have some happy moments, it is definitely one that contains a lot of sadness. I was hoping that the romance would be a little more heartwarming and uplifting, but this one has a very heavy theme that is at times very hard to read. For those hoping for a Christmas romance, this one might not be the holiday book you were hoping for. Continue reading

Review: Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis
Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis is a gripping horror novel that is perfect for Halloween. While it is out of my comfort zone as a fan of contemporary, I enjoyed the suspenseful plot and unreliable narrator. The writing is also incredibly atmospheric, which made this a difficult book to put down. This is the perfect read for those looking for an immersive and memorable psychological thriller.
