Jenny Han is the New York Times bestselling author of The Summer I Turned Pretty series; Shug; the Burn for Burn trilogy, cowritten with Siobhan Vivian; and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You. She is also the author of the chapter book Clara Lee and The Apple Pie Dream. A former children’s bookseller, she earned her MFA in creative writing at the New School.
The Summer I Turned Pretty book series by Jenny Han is a series that has lots of summer vibes, and I enjoyed reading about life at a beach house. The main character is enjoyable, but she does have her moments that put me off. As well, the third and final instalment ruined the trilogy for me, and I was very dissatisfied with the ending. If you are looking to read this series, I would still recommend the first and the second book. Continue reading
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han is an unexpected and thrilling final book in the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series. I was unsure of what would happen in this book since P.S. I Still Love You also wrapped up pretty well, but I can safely say that this story does not disappoint. This final instalment is all about change, and Lara Jean has come a long way since the beginning of book one. One of my favourite things about this series is the strong familial bond. I am so satisfied with this culmination, and I would definitely recommend it. Continue reading
P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han is the perfect sequel for To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. The second story picks up immediately after the first book ends, however it is completely different. The same contemporary writing style of Jenny Han is definitely at play, but we see a new version of Lara Jean, a love triangle and lots of humour. Continue reading
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han is the perfect audiobook to spice up your summer! It explores the theme of family in a unique and witty storyline. The main character, Lara Jean, is an unbelievably relatable girl that readers will no doubt fall in love with. Narrated by Laura Knight Keating, who is the perfect Lara Jean and emulates her character beautifully in this novel. Continue reading
