Every Day is actually a re-read for me so that I can refresh my memory before the movie comes out. I chose to go with listening to the audio version, and I am really enjoying the narration. The concept of this series is so unique and the main character, A, is one that is so relatable, despite having to become a new person each and every day.
Every Day by David Levithan

Author: David Levithan
Publisher: Knopf Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: August 28, 2012

Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.
There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.
It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone A wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.

Book Quotes: Every Day by David Levithan
Book Beginning:
Day 5994
I wake up.
Immediately I have to figure out who I am. It’s not just the body–opening my eyes and discovering whether the skin on my arm is light or dark, whether my hair is long or short, whether I’m fat or thin, boy or girl, scarred or smooth. The body is the easiest thing to adjust to, if you’re used to waking up in a new one each morning. It’s the life, the context of the body, that can be hard to grasp.
Friday 56:
It’s one thing to be love-worthy when you are interacting with your boyfriend; it’s quite another when you act the same way with a girl you don’t know. I no longer think she’s just being nice. She’s being kind. Which is much more a sign of character than mere niceness.
I say that all the time about being nice vs. being kind. Nice is temporary. Kind is character.
I’ll add this to my TBR for that alone.
So very true! I hope that you enjoy it. 🙂
This book sounds amazing. I’m going to have to add it to my TBR list.
Sounds intriguing. I’ve seen this book around but never read it. This week I have Final Siege by Scarlett Cole. Happy reading!
I still have yet to read a book by David Levithan but this sounds great!

I’ve been hearing about this book for years, and haven’t read it yet. I di agree with you. The concept sounds unique.
I’ve wanted to read this one for forever now. I really should someday. 🙂 Happy weekend!
This is one of my ultimate favorite books ever! I can’t believe I didn’t know a movie was coming until a few weeks ago. I have absolutely not seen a lot of talk about it yet. So weird!
I just started seeing some ads for it in the last few days, so I am sure that you will hear about it soon! 🙂
I’ve never seen this one before, but it looks so good! Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend 🙂

I know so many people adore this story, but I have tried to read it on a few occasions, and I am just not one of them, for some reason. I could never get into it, no matter how hard I tried. And I had no idea about a movie, either. Man, I am way behind…
I’ve never read anything by this author, but I love the idea of this book. Maybe would be good to read with my teen daughter before the movie comes out!

I’ve heard great things about this book but I haven’t read it yet. Maybe I should give it a shot before the movie comes out.
