Welcome to the week’s edition of Friday Reads! Today I am sharing a few quotes from the second book in Susane Colasanti’s City Love Series, Lost in Love, which is the perfect contemporary read for Valentine’s Day!
This week’s book: Lost in Love by Susane colasanti
Title: Lost in LoveAuthor: Susane Colasanti
Genre: Contemporary, Romance, Young Adult
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Publication Date: May 3, 2016

In this second book of the City Love trilogy by bestselling author Susane Colasanti, three girls share a Manhattan apartment the summer before college begins. Lost in Love captures the essence of summer love, self-discovery, and sisterhood, a perfect fit for fans of Sarah Dessen, Jenny Han, and Jennifer E. Smith.
Sadie was convinced that Austin was her soul mate, but after discovering his secret she wonders if she even knows him at all. Darcy was all about fun boy adventures with no strings attached . . . until her ex moves to New York City to win her back. Things are getting serious with Rosanna and her boyfriend, but will she be able to break free of her past and let him in? With no parents, no rules, and an entire city to explore, this is the summer that will change their lives forever.
Told from alternating points of view, Lost in Love weaves a story of first love, first heartbreak, and everything in between.
Thoughts
I am really loving this series! Exploring New York with the girls and getting to know each of them is so entertaining, and there are so many adorable moments. This is the second book in the City Love series, and I would definitely recommend it to binge this spring.
Book Beginning:
Mondays are harsh. You don’t want to go to school. You don’t want to go to work. And what’s with getting up so freaking early?
Friday 56:
I hate lying. Some people think that a small lie doesn’t count. Of course it counts.

Ooooo exploring New York City, I like it 😀 Thanks for sharing!
I love books set in NYC so much, too! 🙂
I can definitely relate to that beginning! This sounds good and I like that it’s a series that focuses on the city.
Sounds like an interesting story. Happy reading!
Hi there!
Both are really good lines. I wasn’t sure when I saw the cover, but I like the sound of it now.
Have a lovely weekend,
That 56 is soooooo me! The worse thing someone can do, in my opinion, is be a liar.
Happy weekend!
Right?! Worst trait in anyone.
This isn’t a book I would typically read, but it sounds interesting.
I haven’t read this series but it sounds like a good read. Hope you love it! 🙂
I love the book beginning sentence! I was like YESSSS TRUE! xD
I know, right?! 😉
Sounds like a good book! I will have to put this on my TBR list!
I haven’t read any of these books, but I am so crazy about these covers. And the books sound really good, too!
Oh, this does sound good. I get to hang out with three other gals and explore the big city!
Sounds like a wonderful read. Love those excerpts, too! Enjoy and have a great weekend 🙂
Sounds like a good book.
Have never been to NYC, and this is a new series for me, too. Now the song “Lost In Love” is in my head though!
This sounds great! It’s been a long time since I last read one of Susane Colasanti’s books and I have no idea why. Adding to TBR, thanks for sharing.
New Author, new books! I’m loving it!
Hope you like it! 🙂
