This fictionalized tale of how Charles Dickens came to write his infamous novel, A Christmas Carol, is so delightful. Dickens is a fascinating character who is flawed and enjoyable to read about. Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco
Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco is a book that I have been excited for since I picked up Stalking Jack the Ripper last year. Set in Romania, this instalment follows Audrey Rose and Thomas as they attempt to solve the case of a Vlad the Impaler-like killer. The main characters are just as clever as ever, and the setting is impressively immersive. This is a great read for Halloween. Continue reading

Beyond the Horizon by Ella Carey is an historical fiction novel that tells the story of the Women Airforce Service Pilots during World War II. The concept is intriguing and the format of the novel gives the reader a sense of the ongoing battle women have to be recognized for their accomplishments.
