Geekerella by Ashley Poston is a fresh retelling of Cinderella that incorporates fan culture and a relationship that blossoms via text. I loved how the author outlines what Starfield means to different characters, and the main character is strong and likeable. My Lady’s Choosing by Kitty Curran and Larissa Zageris is an historical romance that is a humorous and engaging book of stories that allows the reader to decide the path of the book. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is a book to movie adaptation that is exciting to compare. The novel by Ransom Riggs is one that I really enjoyed, so I was thrilled to see it become a movie. The fantastic setting and peculiarities of the children were captured so well and looked perfect on the screen. However, there are a few aspects of the book that weren’t as exciting as the book, which was a bit disappointing. I would recommend reading the book after watching the movie.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs is so unique and the pictures throughout the book make it so much more interesting to read. Ransom Riggs has a descriptive and mysterious writing style that really drew me in. Everything about this five star book was just so enjoyable. Continue reading
