S.T.A.G.S. by M.A. Bennett is a book that honestly surprised me. It is a very eerie story with a twisty plot and an intelligent main character. The story definitely strays from the classic private school book I was expecting. Although this book is a thriller, I feel like there isn’t enough action, and I would have enjoyed more suspense. Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart is a book that is inspired by The Talented Mr. Ripley. I loved Lockhart’s We Were Liars, and The Talented Mr. Ripley is such an interesting story that I haven’t seen retold before. However, as I was reading, I noticed that there isn’t actually much difference between the two stories. If you are familiar with The Talented Mr. Ripley, I wouldn’t recommend this book, as the plot won’t come as much of a shock. Continue reading

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon is one of the few books that I was able to develop an attachment to. This book is set over one day and really focuses on destiny. The two main characters are both so unique and even the side characters are developed so well. I would consider this a must-read! Continue reading

My Unscripted Life by Lauren Morrill is all about movie making and more of the backstage action. It is set in a cozy small-town, which I really enjoyed. The main character is an artist and is persistent. I would definitely recommend this to those looking for a quick and fluffy read. Continue reading

This book has a really interesting storyline that will draw you in and keep you flipping pages all night long.
