I’m Dreaming of a Wyatt Christmas by Tiffany Schmidt is a cute and festive romcom that is sure to put readers in the holiday spirit. This one combines ballet and babysitting as the main character spends the holidays babysitting her favourite clients at a ski resort. The characters are lovable, and the descriptions of winter activities throughout the book make for a cosy reading experience. I enjoyed the Beijing setting, and the main character’s excitement for acting and desire to challenge offensive Asian representation was a pleasant surprise. Worlds of Ink and Shadow by Lena Coakley is so original and has a concept unlike any other. There are fictionalized descriptions based on the Brontë family that seem very accurate. There are quite a few book vs. movie differences to Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. Ironically, the title of this feature would have the reader believe that books are always better than the film. In most cases, this is often true. When it comes to comparing Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, I much preferred the film to the book.
