Graceling (Graphic Novel) by Kristin Cashore is a fast-paced fantasy that lends itself well to the graphic novel format. Following characters with special abilities, this one contains a fair share of action and strong main characters. The artwork is also stunning, making the story come to life. Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell was one of my highly anticipated reads this year as I love seasonal books as well as her wholesome characters. I was not disappointed with this one as it features two co-workers who make the most of their last shift at a pumpkin patch together. The main characters are both realistic and likeable, and the artwork within builds a warm atmosphere. Continue reading

The Steel Prince by V.E.Schwab is an enthralling YA graphic novel that is the prequel to the Shades of Magic series. It is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I found myself enjoying the unique, action-packed plot and the gorgeous artwork. I believe that this is a great introduction to the series, and I am excited to continue on with the story. Continue reading
