League of Liars by Astrid Scholte is a unique mystery that combines magic with murder trials. I found the genre-blending premise original, and I enjoyed the mix of narrators, both inside and outside of the prison. While the content of this book didn’t meet all of my expectations, I still enjoyed the story as a whole. This is a great read for those looking for the tension of legal drama with a touch of fantasy. Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte is the kind of unputdownable book I had been waiting to review. This fantasy-thriller fusion is enthralling, and the plot is unpredictable.
