I recently attended the Toronto International Book Fair and heard E. Lockhart speak during the I Don’t Give a Damsel Panel. Her description of We Were Liars was quite vague because even she refuses to discuss her book with someone who hasn’t read it. As a reader, I became intrigued and added this book to my TBR list immediately!
❀ Short and Sweet
One of the things I really enjoyed about We Were Liars is its length. This easy to read book is only 225 pages long. You can honestly read this book in a few hours. I liked this because there are no unnecessary details in the way to distract you from the big picture. It is short and sweet!

I love a great mystery! E. Lockhart has definitely woven together an incredible story that keeps the reader guessing until the end. Her writing style is also so descriptive that the reader can envision the setting vividly.
