This week’s book: Batman Nightwalker

Author: Marie Lu
Publisher: Random House Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: January 2, 2018

Before he was Batman, he was Bruce Wayne. A reckless boy willing to break the rules for a girl who may be his worst enemy.
The Nightwalkers are terrorizing Gotham City, and Bruce Wayne is next on their list.
One by one, the city's elites are being executed as their mansions' security systems turn against them, trapping them like prey. Meanwhile, Bruce is turning eighteen and about to inherit his family's fortune, not to mention the keys to Wayne Enterprises and all the tech gadgetry his heart could ever desire. But after a run-in with the police, he's forced to do community service at Arkham Asylum, the infamous prison that holds the city's most brutal criminals.
Madeleine Wallace is a brilliant killer . . . and Bruce's only hope.
In Arkham, Bruce meets Madeleine, a brilliant girl with ties to the Nightwalkers. What is she hiding? And why will she speak only to Bruce? Madeleine is the mystery Bruce must unravel. But is he getting her to divulge her secrets, or is he feeding her the information she needs to bring Gotham City to its knees? Bruce will walk the dark line between trust and betrayal as the Nightwalkers circle closer.

Thoughts
Although I am not a huge Batman fan, I have very high hopes for Batman: Nightwalker. The other book in the DC Icons series so far, Wonder Woman: Warbringer was one of my favourites of the year, and I love the way these books interpret the original stories. Batman: Nightwalker is also written by Marie Lu, one of my all-time favourite authors, so I am sure that it is going to be incredible. I will literally read anything that woman writes. There is still a ways to go until this book is released, so in the meantime, I will be sure to give myself a Batman refresher.
It is becoming very popular to make books about super heroes. I haven’t read Wonder Woman but I bet this one will be just as popular.
I think that you are right about that! 😉
I’m currently reading Wonder Woman: Warbringer! I’m only 108 pages in but I already know I want to read this one as well when it comes out. 😀
Wonder Woman really took me by surprise! I hope that you love both of these books. 🙂
I haven’t read a lot of super heroes books, but I am thinking that I really should that. Great pick.

It’s not my typical genre, but something about this series has me excited! 😉
The things Marie Lu revealed about this book at BookCon totally sold me on it. I think it’s going to be amazing.
I loved Wonder Woman so I can’t wait for this one. I’m not a huge fan of Batman, but I trust Marie Lu.
I just finished reading Warcross not too long ago and fell in love with Marie Lu’s writing, so I can’t wait for this one either.
I still haven’t tried this author! I bet my daughter would love this, as she watches all the superhero movies. Happy reading!
I’m also not fan of Batman but this one sounds amazing! I’ll definitely give it a shot! 🙂
I don;t really read graphic novrls. Ever, really but soe of these do look goof!
WOWZA!!!! Bruce Wayne? Batman? Say no more!! I WANT this graphic novel!!!! YAAAAAASSSS!! Besides, it’s written by the AWESOME Marie Lu!! I have heard RAVES about her work, whether in novels or graphic novels! So I’m adding this one to my Goodreads shelves like RIGHT NOW. Thanks for putting this on my Super Duper Vulcan Radar! XD!!

This sounds so good and after finishing Warcross I’m ready for another Marie Lu story
I am so excited for this book! Batman is one of my all time favorite super heroes, and I adore Marie Lu! I got the Wonder Woman book by Leigh Bardugo from this series, and I still have to read that one.
Good pick! I still need to read Wonder Woman by Leigh Bardugo. 🙂
