Wishlist Wednesday: Truly Madly Royally

Wishlist Wednesday on The Candid Cover

Welcome to this week’s edition of Wishlist Wednesday! Today I am featuring Truly Madly Royally by Debbie Rigaud. The summer contemporaries are on their way and this one sounds perfect to me.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about and have yet to read. It is a spin-off of the original meme, Waiting on Wednesday that was formerly hosted by Breaking the Spine.

Summary (from Goodreads):

Fiercely independent and smart, Zora Emerson wants to change the world. She's excited to be attending a prestigious summer program, even if she feels out of place among her privileged, mostly white classmates. So she's definitely not expecting to feel a connection to Owen, who's an actual prince of an island off the coast of England. But Owen is funny, charming...and undeniably cute. Zora can't ignore the chemistry between them.

When Owen invites Zora to be his date at his big brother's big royal wedding, Zora is suddenly thrust into the spotlight, along with her family and friends. Everyone is talking about her, in real life and online, and while Owen is used to the scrutiny, Zora's not sure it's something she can live with. Can she maintain her sense of self while moving between two very different worlds? And can her feelings for Owen survive and thrive in the midst of the crazy? Find out in this charming romantic comedy that's like The Princess Diaries for a new generation.

Amazon “Book

I really love books that feature royalty. There is just something that draws me in and gets me excited about a glimpse into what the lifestyle would be like. The comparison to The Princess Diaries gives me lots of hope that this is going to be a lot of fun to read.

Considering how little I care about THE royals, I love books with royals in them. The cover screams “Sam, you need me”, and the synopsis reinforces that fact. I am really excited about this book.

  2. Zoey says:

Interesting concept! I’m not sure people think about the level of public scrutiny when they dream of becoming a fairytale princess.

  3. Jaime Lynn says:

Cute but probably not my style. I know for sure I couldn’t go from being normal, not recognized and photographed daily to people constantly watching, writing and taking pics of me. I would not handle that well. Quiet life, happy life!
