Wow!!! I can’t believe that we are already writing up our first update posts! I have been on holidays and haven’t been around much to check out anyone’s post this week. I have a feeling that I am going to have a lot of posts to read! I hope that everyone has been enjoying the reading challenge so far. I always love the encouraging comments everyone leaves because it just makes it so much fun.
So far, I am sticking to my plan! I have added an extra book or two, but the schedule seems to be on track still. I have enjoyed everything that I have read so far as well, which is a huge bonus!
Here is what I have read so far:
I am so happy that I finally made the time to read the Grisha Trilogy! I really enjoyed this series and I am really excited to find out what Bardugo has in store for us next!
I am currently reviewing a cookbook that is all about apple cider, which has been a lot of fun. Also, I couldn’t resist trying one of these cozy mystery books that everyone talks about. I am just a little ways into it, but it is an interesting read that has lots of humour included. Turtles All the Way Down has been on my TBR for quite some time and I am really enjoying getting back into Green’s writing.
Next up is The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I have already read a couple of the books, but they are foggy in my brain, so I am going to start from the beginning. This has been a long time coming for me and it is a pretty ambitious amount of reading, but I am determined to pull it off! All of these books and more can be found on my GR shelf if you are interested in learning more.
What books have you read lately?
Wow, so many books! I really loved The Lunar Chronicles, so I hope you enjoy your rereads and the new books!

Thank you!! I am really excited to get into this series again! 🙂
You’re doing awesome! You’ve basically featured all the books I’ve been meaning to read lol. I really need to start reading the Grisha trilogy and the Lunar Chronicles. So many books, so little time! Happy reading!
Hahaha!! I have been putting these books off for long enough. 🙂
You are doing great! I need to read the Grisha trilogy, and I still haven’t finished the Lunar Chronicles. I read the first two and need to finish the series.
I’m going good on the challenge so far! I finished eight.

It is so nice to focus on an entire series over the summer! I can’t wait to check out what you thought of the books that you have read. 🙂
Ohh you’re doing so great! I’m looking forward to reading Grace and Fury, that book sounds amazing 😀 I also can’t wait for you to get to The Lunar Chronicles. I love this series so, so much, I need to re-read it as well 😀

Thank you!! I really love this time to just read what I want to and not feel guilty. 🙂
Ahh you’ve read so many books — and great ones at that! I’ve been sorta failing with reading this summer since i’m getting ready to start college in the fall so i’ll just live my reading life vicariously through you if that’s cool lol :))
Well, reading will always be there for you when you are ready to get back into it! I hope that you enjoy your first year of college. It will definitely be a busy time for you. 🙂
I’m glad you enjoyed the Grisha trilogy! I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews, even from people who liked Six of Crows.
I only have two books left for my OWLs challenge this month, but I kinda slowed down because of work (and because I read graphic novels instead of the ones I need for the OWLs. oops.)

My TBR always changes as well! I definitely enjoyed SOC more, but this was a pretty good series. 🙂
So many great books! I have The Lunar Chronicles to read too but I want to finish up the Throne of Glass series first…..good luck with the rest of your challenge 😁
Thank you!! It is the perfect time of year to catch up on a series. 🙂
I loved the Lunar Chronicles but I never bought Stars Above. But I will at some point! I need to finish my collection. <3
I always seem to complete my collections, but never get to reading them! lol
I was so afraid to read Turtles, because of the early reviews, but I honestly loved it, and the ending!!! So good.

I know exactly what you mean! I am glad that I have given it a chance! 🙂
WOW, you are rocking those reads! I feel so….. behind….Great job! I have to up my game in August! =)

I have been getting the reading done, but my blog has been collecting cobwebs!! lol
Over the course of my library job I’ve realised that there’s a lot of baking-related mystery novels (also a lot of cat-related ones… I’m not sure if the cats are the detectives or if people who own cats are the detectives…) I didn’t realise they were part of a mystery subgenre, though! “Cozy mystery” is a charming name for a subgenre (even if it does contain murder which is maybe less charming?)

Right?! It is a funny name for a murder mystery genre. 😉
I have been wanting to read The Lunar Chronicles for so long now. I have bought all the books already and they’re just waiting to be picked up. I don’t even know why it’s taking me so long. Anyway, well done in reading so many books already and happy reading! 😀
I was exactly the same! I did read a couple and then I just got too busy to finish the series. It is well worth the wait! 🙂
Wow, you’re making fantastic progress on this challenge! I really loved The Lunar Chronicles and thought they were pretty quick reads too.
They are surprisingly quick! I really should have read them long ago! 😉
You’re doing great! I’m currently reading Winter in the Lunar Chronicles – finally!- and loving it, so I hope you enjoy your read of the whole series. I have Turtles All the Way Down that I really hope to read soon. I do love John Green’s books.

All of those backlist books really do get to shine over the summer, don’t they? I hope that you love Turtles All the Way Down. 🙂
WOW!!! O.O
That’s a heck of a lot! I see that they have a theme, too. There are SIX books in the Lunar Chronicles?? You read so fast!!!

The Lunar Chronicles are pretty fast reads, actually! I have saved the series for long enough and I am so happy to get back into it! 🙂
