The Summer TBR Wipeout 2018 summer reading challenge sign-ups are now open! ! I hope that you can join us in our low-key challenge that will help to wipe some of those books off of your ever growing TBR. It is always a fun part of my summer and I look forward to finding out what everyone else is reading this year.
To make the Summer TBR Wipeout 2018 simple and inclusive to everyone, I am opening this up to anyone who wants to participate. You do not have to run a book blog or a website for that matter. All that I ask is that you create your posts on some sort of social media website, such as Instagram, Facebook or Tumblr, etc. You can also read backlist books, ARCs, new releases, audiobooks, or anything else that has been beckoning you to read it. There will be 4 posts in total that you can link up to here on The Candid Cover.
GIVEAWAY:
To sweeten the deal, I will also be giving away a book of choice worth up to $20 USD. As always, the giveaway is open internationally as long as The Book Depository or Amazon ships to you!
SCHEDULE:
June 3- July 5: Sign-ups open!
Week of July 1st: Introductory post- What books are you planning to read this summer?
Week of July 15th: Update post #1- Tell us how your reading has been going so far. What books have you read? Were they enjoyable? What’s next on your TBR? Etc.
Week of July 29th: Update post #2
Week of August 12th: Wrap-up post- How did your summer reading go? Did you wipeout some books from your summer TBR?
Don’t forget to check back during the event to link up your posts and earn more points for the giveaway! I am looking forward to this summer reading challenge and I can’t wait to find out what books you are reading this year.
Ok, You got me!!🙊🙊🙊 I don’t usually join challenges. They all either come out at the same time and it’s too overwhelming or they are too complicated. But this one sounds easy and that’s just perfect, so I’ll be joining.😁
Can’t wait, hope you have a wonderful weekend. 💋 xoxo

Hooray! I actually feel the same way about challenges. I need simple and I hope to not overwhelm anybody. Glad to have you join us! <3
I think I’m going to try to read 10 books this summer. I don’t know what books I’m going to read yet… I do know I’m reading Smoke in the Sun on Tuesday (or Monday, if it arrives when the postal service says it’s going to arrive, a day early, Yay!), oh and I’ll be reading The Wrath and the Dawn this week as well because it just became available for pickup at the library :-)… but there’s a good chance that the other books that I’m going to read will be a combination of serendipity, what I can get from the library, any ARCs that sound interesting that I’m able to get, and if I get any Amazon.com credit for my birthday.
Does this challenge start on July 1st? Because if it starts now I’ll probably read more books than that.

Your first post goes up the week of July 1st, so technically, it is for books read between July 1st to August 12th. You are more than welcome to share any other books that you have read in your posts. I hope that you enjoy Smoke in the Sun! Looking forward to have you join us this year! 🙂
I usually read betwen 10-15 books a month (not counting short stories or graphic novels), so since this challenge is two months long, I’ll do my best to read 30 😀
Wow!! That should make for an amazing summer of reading. I can’t wait to find out what’s on your TBR. 🙂
Wow, 10 I can get, but 15 a month? You’re so fast!
I’m looking forward to ‘Maze Master’ mostly, and I hope to either get some ARCs or to have gotten some books at the local book fair at the end of this month. The ones I’m anticipating reading the most are all after the challenge!

Oops, silly me, the question was how MANY books😁 I plan to finish 7-8 books in this challenge. Veering on the safe side, I’d rather be pleased I read more, than unsatisfied I didn’t reach my goal. Also, I’m joining you all cuz I want to participate in more group activities in the book community😄
No worries! I hope that you make some great connections through this challenge! 🙂
Thanks, I hope so too!
Yay, so looking forward to this! I have books from LAST summer I didn’t get to! I’m hoping to read 8 books.
I feel you! I am so happy that you are returning to the challenge again this year! 🙂
I’m so excited to participate in this challenge again this year. I’l have my signup post up hopefully this week 🙂
Yay!! I can’t wait to read it. 🙂
I just posted my TBR and am hoping to get 14 books read. We’ll see how it goes!
I have quite a few books on my list. Mostly audio, so I’m able to get thru quite a few! I have about 30 on my list.
Thanks again for hosting this!!! I love that it’s short and simple!!!
I am so happy to have you join again, Theresa! You have the most amazing TBR, ever! 🙂
I’m going to try for 6 books again this year.
I’m a bit of a last minute joiner in the challenge 🙂 I’m hoping to finish 10 books within the challenge but it’s fine if I read less than that. That being said I’ll probably have a huge tbr of 30 books or something so that I can pick whatever I feel like reading at the time!
I tried to link up my Sign-up Post but the linky is closed. is it too late?
Here’s my post:
