Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today’s Teaser Tuesday: The Unexpected Everything

Author: Morgan Matson
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: May 3, 2016

Andie had it all planned out. When you are a politician’s daughter who’s pretty much raised yourself, you learn everything can be planned or spun, or both. Especially your future. Important internship? Check. Amazing friends? Check. Guys? Check (as long as we’re talking no more than three weeks).
But that was before the scandal. Before having to be in the same house with her dad. Before walking an insane number of dogs. That was before Clark and those few months that might change her whole life. Because here’s the thing—if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected. And where’s the fun in that?

Thoughts
I am absolutely loving this book so far! It is classic Morgan Matson, so of course it’s already incredible. What I am especially enjoying are the text messages in the book. They are formatted so realistically and have actual emojis! I have never seen emojis before in a book, and I got really excited when I saw them. I am so glad that I finally have this book in my hands!
Book Quotes: The Unexpected Everything
“I turned and looked out the window again, at the press corps that weren’t leaving nearly as quickly as I wanted them to. There were now reporters lined up in front of the house, cameras pointed at them, no doubt recapping what had just occurred.”
I am SO EXCITED for this book. Thank you so much for sharing this excerpt!
This looks like a very fun read, although it’s not my usual genre.
