Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today’s Teaser Tuesday: The Love That Split The World

Author: Emily Henry
Publisher: Razorbill
Publication Date: January 26, 2016

Natalie’s last summer in her small Kentucky hometown is off to a magical start…until she starts seeing the “wrong things.” At first, they’re just momentary glimpses—her front door is red instead of its usual green, there’s a pre-school where the garden store should be. But then her whole town disappears for hours, fading away into rolling hills and grazing buffalo, and Nat knows something isn’t right.
That’s when she gets a visit from the kind but mysterious apparition she calls “Grandmother,” who tells her: “You have three months to save him.” The next night, under the stadium lights of the high school football field, she meets a beautiful boy named Beau, and it’s as if time just stops and nothing exists. Nothing, except Natalie and Beau.

I am so happy to be reading this incredible debut by Emily Henry. This book is just as fun and engaging so far as Emily herself! If you aren’t following her on Twitter and Instagram, you are really missing out.
Here is the teaser:
“I don’t want to scare you, Grandmother said, but you need to be prepared for what’s coming.”
Good teaser. And the premise is intriguing … I may have to see if my library has a copy of this.
The beginning of her statement would scare me:) Sounds interesting though and I don’t normally read time travel books.
My TT – http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/12/15/teaser-tuesdays-139-sins-of-the-lost/
It does evoke a mood of fear, doesn’t it?
I can’t wait to read this book, and this teaser is making the waiting much, muuuch harder, ahah :p
It is certainly the kind of teaser that makes you want to read more, but it is too short for me to make a decision about whether or not I would read it. I feel like pretty much any kind of book could follow that sentence. Which is perhaps, in part, the draw.
Happy reading.
Nice Teaser got check out My Teaser
Sounds like a really intriguing plot. Here’s my teaser/opening from The Snow Angel by Lulu Taylor: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-14R
Sounds like a fun story. I wonder what’s coming!!
My Tuesday post features THE JOURNEY BACK – A Doublesight Story.
This sounds good. I don’t read as much YA contemporary as I should. My students love it but I tend to enjoy fantasy more. My YA teaser this week comes from The Lost Stories by John Flanagan. Happy reading!
I love that cover! Great teaser too 😀
