Making Waves is a weekly question feature created by the Waterwitch Babes (part of Susan Dennard’s Truthwitch Street Team). Every Thursday, we’ll have a fun question that all are welcome to answer on their blog. Anyone can join! The questions will be random and/or relate to the upcoming book Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. A linky is provided so that everyone can link up their post and participate in the fun!
To participate, we do ask that you use the Making Waves banner in your post and link back to the Waterwitch Babes blog.
This week’s question:
Where do you live? What is magical about your city for you?
I live in a small town outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. While I am sure it seems more magical to people who do not live here, there are some really cool aspects about the place I live. The Scottish designer of the town named our city after a British royal family. I have always found this quite magical. As well, many of the streets and buildings in the centre of town are older and made of limestone, which really gives the sense of a European setting. Another really cool fact is that the war poem, In Flanders Fields, was written by a native, John McCrae.
Next week’s question:
Happy Halloween! Feature something spooky and Truthwitch themed!
Don’t forget that #ClanChat is happening on Twitter this Sunday October 25th at 12:00pm! We will be chatting and fangirling about all things Witchlander and Truthwitch. Hope to see you there!

nice post, and I really want to come and visit Canada one day.
I would love to have you visit some day!
Gorgeous pictures! I love the sound of the Royal City just because of the connections to the UK and the European feel. One day I will visit Canada too!
It is neat to have British roots, but I think California sounds dreamy! 😉
I really want to come for a visit! It sounds beautiful. I have family that lives in Canada and they keep asking us to come visit. Might be time to finally take them up on that offer!
That sounds like an interesting place to live. It looks like a beautiful one too.
