Matt de la Peña is the New York Times best-selling, Newbery-medal-winning author of six young adult novels and four picture books. Matt received his MFA in creative writing from San Diego State University and his BA from the University of the Pacific, where he attended school on a full athletic scholarship for basketball. de la Peña currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. He teaches creative writing and visits high schools and colleges throughout the country.

Superman: Dawnbreaker, Matt de la Peña

Superman: Dawnbreaker by Matt de la Peña is a book that I am highly anticipating. I have enjoyed all of the titles in the DC Icons series so far, and I am really pumped for this next instalment. I am not very familiar with de la Peña’s work, but I did enjoy his short story in My True Love Gave to Me. For a girl who is quite unfamiliar with the whole world of superheroes, this series has really opened up a whole world for me.
