Teaser Tuesdays: The Sun is Also a Star

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today’s Teaser Tuesday: The Sun is Also a Star

The Sun is Also a StarTitle: The Sun is Also a Star
Author: Nicola Yoon
Publisher: Delacorte Press
Publication Date: November 1, 2016

Summary (from Goodreads):

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.

Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.

The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

Amazon “Book Depository

I am loving this book so far! Everything about this book so far is so satisfying and fun to read. Natasha and Daniel are both such interesting characters and I can’t wait for them to meet.

Book Quotes: The Sun Is Also A Star

“In the end, she chose both. Korean and American. American and Korean. So they would know where they were from. So they would know where they were going.”

I can’t wait to read this book!
I really liked Everything Everything (wasn’t the fan of the end though), so I really want to try this one out soon.
I was confused and sure it already came out but when I went to buy it I found out I was wrong. :/

I should make a wishlist, too! there are so many books that I want and then end up not purchasing because they are too expensive. I hope that you enjoy this one when you read it! 🙂
