Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today’s Teaser Tuesday: Into the dim
Author: Janet B. Taylor
Publisher: HMH Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: March 1, 2016
When fragile, sixteen-year-old Hope Walton loses her mom to an earthquake overseas, her secluded world crumbles. Agreeing to spend the summer in Scotland, Hope discovers that her mother was more than a brilliant academic, but also a member of a secret society of time travelers. Trapped in the twelfth century in the age of Eleanor of Aquitaine, Hope has seventy-two hours to rescue her mother and get back to their own time. Along the way, her path collides with that of a mysterious boy who could be vital to her mission . . . or the key to Hope’s undoing
Into the Dim is really interesting so far! I am loving the Scottish aspects and the dialect. I’m very excited for the secret society to be introduced as well.
Book Quotes: Into the DIm
“Feeling as though I’d been buffeted about by a tiny, blue tornado, I whispered to the now-empty room. ‘But why would she lie to us?'”
