Welcome to this week’s edition of Wishlist Wednesday! Today I am featuring You Owe Me a Murder by Eileen Cook. This thriller sounds like one to watch for this spring.
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about and have yet to read. It is a spin-off of the original meme, Waiting on Wednesday that was formerly hosted by Breaking the Spine.
THIS WEEK’S BOOK:

Author: Eileen Cook
Publisher: HMH Books for Young Readers

Seventeen-year-old Kim gets more than she bargained for when she is set up for murder. Perfect for fans of One of Us is Lying, E. Lockhart, and Gillian Flynn.
17-year-old Kim never expected to plot a murder. But that was before her boyfriend dumped her for another girl. Now, Kim’s stuck on a class trip to London with him and his new soulmate and she can’t help wishing he was a little bit dead, even if she’d never really do that. But when Kim meets Nicki, a stranger on the plane who’s more than willing to listen to Kim’s woes, things start to look up. Nicki's got a great sense of humor, and when she jokes about swapping murders, Kim plays along—that is, until Kim’s ex-boyfriend mysteriously dies.
Blackmailed by Nicki to fulfill her end of the deal, Kim will have to commit a murder or take the fall for one.

Thoughts
I have yet to read a novel by Eileen Cook, but I am always intrigued by the concepts of her novels. It sounds as though the story might have some black humour in it. The fact that it is perfect for fans of E. Lockhart and Gillian Flynn also has me really excited.
This one sounds good. I will have to add this one to my ever-growing TBR. Great pick!

I hope that we both love it! 🙂
I spied this one on NetGalley and was seriously tempted to break my request ban for it. I’ve never actually read a Gillian Flynn but I do love Lockhart’s books.
Ha! Well, it might be a good excuse to break a ban. 😉
I have never read anything by Eileen Cook. I’m not sure about this one, though; the let’s-swap-murders has been done many times already.
This does sound like a fun concept. I will have to add it to my list.
I hope that you enjoy it! 🙂
It has a great cover and title. And I like the concept too.

The cover is really interesting, isn’t it?
Yep, NOW we are talking. Cold weather is on its way (hopefully) and I am digging the sound of this one on one of those chilly nights. And the cover is awesome!
I am here for the fall weather, too! 🙂
Ooh I like that premise! And the One of Us is Lying/ E. Lockhart name drop doesn’t hurt either. 🙂
