There’s a ruined building up in the Dublin mountains overlooking the city known as the Hellfire Club. It’s where the young toffs of the time would gather and plenty of wine, women & song was had. Stories abound of satanic rituals and even human sacrifice. One Halloween, a group of us youngsters decided to make our way there and, hand on heart, it was really spooky!

One of my most memorable Halloween experiences was actually memorable for the wrong reasons. I remember being around eight years old and I wanted to be a princess for Halloween. My grandmother had made a crayon costume for me and my mom made me wear it. I was devastated the entire time, and I remember it to this day. =P

My most memorable Halloween is just getting my children in their costumes and taking them trick or treating. When they were at their youngest they were so excited going around to all the houses. They loved it and gave me a good time~~~

My sister and I when we were kids got dressed up as a witch and cat and the first house we went to was our next door neighbours. The mother of the family was out so it was just the teenage daughter and son in. We knocked and said “Trick or Treat?” and they said “Hang on a minute I will just go and get a treat” then they opened up their bathroom window above the doorstep and tipped water all over us. My mum was not amused! Looking back now we always have a laugh about it though!

I remember I was almost attacked by a dog. I went up to a door and rang the bell, and I heard the dog bark. I ran back to my mom’s car, and I saw the dog was loose. It certainly things after that.

My mother dressing me up as Wonder Woman for a Halloween contest at Jelly Stone Park back in the 1970’s. It was a handmade costume sewn by my mother. I must have been around four or five years old at the time and boy was I proud of that costume.

I have to say my most memorable moment is when I put a pair of panty hose on my face and ran in the room where my grandmother was watching nightly news. She was not too happy and I was punished for it.
