💝 Tidbit Tuesday #7: Have a Bookish Valentine’s Day!

Tidbit Tuesday is a feature on The Candid Cover spotlighting and reviewing bookish events, news and bits of books.

Happy Valentine’s Day! It really is the one day of the year that I enjoy only for the chocolate and time spent with certain bookish boyfriends. However, there are ways to spice up your day using a few used books and some creativity!

Bookish Valentines

How cute are these cards made from old library cards? Such a simple and fun way to make quick valentines for friends.

Bookish Gifts to Make and Give

Bookmarks are always easy and appreciated gifts for any book lover. You can whip up oodles of these with a few paint chips!

What about a bouquet of roses made entirely from recycled book pages? I love this idea and although fresh flowers will always win my heart, these roses will last forever!

Bookish Valentine’s Day Decorations

If you want to kick it up a notch and go with a completely book themed Valentine’s Day, here are a few decorating ideas to spark your creative side!

A Bookish Date for Valentine’s Day

If you are more adventurous than me and you aren’t snuggled up with your favourite book today, maybe a literary date crafted by Bookish will excite you! A bookstore or library date followed by a cozy book to movie adaptation sounds perfect to me.

Whatever your plans are today, I hope that they are filled with books, friends and love! 💕

I spent this Valentine’s Day in the hospital for my hubby’s surgery FUN! He is doing well, thankfully.. Normally, we aren’t huge Valentine’s Day celebrators. We try to love each other that much all of the time. But last year, he did surprise me with an awesomely HUGE teddy bear!
