Tidbit Tuesday is a feature on The Candid Cover spotlighting and reviewing bookish events, news and bits of books.

So many exciting new Young Adult books are coming our way! Some of these books were hinted at a while ago and others are completely new to me. It’s amazing how many thrilling events happen in the book world over the course of a week.

First of all, Tahereh Mafi revealed the title of her new YA novel that is a dark Persian fantasy about a girl who washes dead bodies for a living. WHICHWOOD definitely sounds intriguing and I am really looking forward to finding out what the cover will look like. Tahereh always has the most beautiful book covers.

Also, E. Lockhart fans will be thrilled to know that her new book, GENUINE FRAUD, was announced on Mashable last Thursday. This new psychological thriller sounds just as intense as We Were Liars and I am so excited to read it in September.

It seems that so many YA novels are being optioned for film, even before publication. Jennifer Mathieu’s book, MOXIE, is going to make for a really interesting and most likely enlightening story and movie. It is about a girl who starts a modern day feminist revolution. The Hollywood Reporter announced the movie deal last Friday.

As well, watch for an intriguing YA debut novel from Tehlor Ky Meija. WHEN WE SET THE DARK ON FIRE is bound to be an epic and diverse book that we will have to wait until 2019 to read!

What books are you excited to know more about? Do you have any bookish news to share that I have missed?
