Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Thoughts:

Summer Days and Summer Nights definitely has a lot of variety! I love how each story is completely different and written by another author. I am enjoying this one, but it’s not nearly as incredible as My True Love Gave to Me, the first winter themed anthology.

Here is the teaser:

This teaser comes from Veronica Roth’s story, Inertia.

“Even without the electrodes, I knew how old I was by the colour of my fingernails—my freshman year of high school, I had been obsessed with painting my nails in increasingly garish and ugly colours, lime green and sparkly purple, glow-in-the-dark blue and burnt orange. I liked to take something that was supposed to be pretty and make it ugly instead.”

I am not a big fan of short stories but this one might be good because it would give me a taste of the writing styles of some YA authors I may not already read. My YA teaser this comes from Spark by Holly Schindler. Happy reading!

  2. Elle says:

I love the potential anthologies have and this seems to have bucketloads. This teaser is wonderful. It is full of so many things I want to know more about!
