Waiting on Wednesday #45: The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week’s book:

17838528Title: The Unexpected Everything
Author: Morgan Matson
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
Publication Date: May 3, 2016

Summary (from Goodreads): Andie had it all planned out.

When you are a politician’s daughter who’s pretty much raised yourself, you learn everything can be planned or spun, or both. Especially your future.

Important internship? Check.

Amazing friends? Check.

Guys? Check (as long as we’re talking no more than three weeks)

But that was before the scandal. Before having to be in the same house with her dad. Before walking an insane number of dogs. That was before Clark and those few months that might change her whole life.

Because here’s the thing – if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected.

And where’s the fun in that?

I am soooooo excited for this new Morgan Matson book! I honestly love everything written by her! I’m sure that this one will be just as funny and loveable as all her other works. I really like the idea of the main character walking dogs as a job. This is very unique, like all Morgan Matson/Katie Finn books. 😉 And that cover!!!! I just can’t wait until May to read The Unexpected Everything!

I feel really out of place whenever someone talks about Morgan Matson. I remember all through 2015 people were talking about Morgan Matson and I told myself I would pick up her books, yet, I never did! Personally, I don’t know how I feel about this book. Contemporaries such as these tend to kind of skip over my head; I’m much more of a person who loves to read fantasy or deeper contemporaries.

I understand your view point. I just love the whimsy of these stories that she writes and I definitely reserve her books for vacations and light beach reads. While I love richly written fantasies and stories as well, sometimes I just like to read something light and fluffy. 🙂
