Ringing in the New Year Book Tag

As 2015 has come to an end, I thought it would be interesting to share some of my favourites of the year and most anticipated of this new year with you! I saw this tag on Bookmark Chronicles and decided that it was the perfect post to wrap up the year with.

Best book/series that you’ve read in 2015

Honestly, this is a very hard question for me, since I have read so many good books! If I had to choose 2, they would have to be A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas and An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir!

Authors that you’ve recently found and would like to read more of in the new year

Some really great authors that I discovered this year include Susan Dennard, Ally Carter, and Nicole Castroman. I will definitely reading more of their books next year!

Most anticipated book turned movie?

Oh my gosh, there are so many book to movie adaptations releasing soon! A few that I am really excited for are Allegiant, The 5th Wave, and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children!

Name a character that you wouldn’t mind sharing a kiss with at midnight (if there is one)

Ahhhhh! There are so many good book boyfriends! But of course, I would have to go with Four from the Divergent series. For obvious reasons. 😉

What’s on your TBR for 2016? (Top 5 will suffice if its an extremely long list!)

This is a hard question! I would have to go with A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton, The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye, The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi, and The Crown by Kiera Cass.

How many books do you hope to read in 2016?

Honestly, I don’t really set a specific goal in reading for myself, since it can become stressful, so I am going to say as many as possible!

Will you participate in the Goodreads Reading Challenge (or any others)?

I’m not actually sure yet! As I mentioned above, I am not a big fan of setting reading goals, but it might be fun to see how many books I can read!

Any New Year’s Resolutions? (bookish and otherwise)

Keep reading and have fun blogging! Also, don’t go crazy requesting all the ARCs. 😉

I tag anyone who is interested in the Ringing in the New Year Book Tag to participate. This is such a fun tag that is perfect for the New Year!

Great answers! I actually am looking forward to the 5th wave myself, especially if Chloe Grace is the lead 😛 Happy New Year and I don’t know if I will set myself a reading challenge this year too :/ I love to read just for the fun of it!

Oh no! You’ve been sucked into the Divergent trilogy! Here! Give me your hand! I’ll save you! :p To be honest, I really enjoyed the books, especially because of the ending that Veronica Roth chose. However, the movie adaptations just KILLED it for me. So bad on the casting side. *sigh*

Oo! I’m really looking forward to ‘Blackhearts’ and ‘The 5th Wave’ movie. Though, I need to read the book before I see the movie. Hee hee! And ‘Star-Touched Queen’ & ‘The Crown’s Game’ are both on my 2016 TBR. They look really good. ^.^

Don’t listen to Melanie, she’s a hater! 😉 (She knows I’m telling the truth!)
I’m also excited to see Allegiant!

I’m trying to get into other genres, so I think I might be reading A Court of Thorns and Roses this year. Everyone seems to love it! 🙂
