Making Waves is a weekly question feature created by the Waterwitch Babes (part of Susan Dennard’s Truthwitch Street Team). Every Thursday, we’ll have a fun question that all are welcome to answer on their blog. Anyone can join! The questions will be random and/or relate to the upcoming book Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. A linky is provided so that everyone can link up their post and participate in the fun!
To participate, we do ask that you use the Making Waves banner in your post and link back to the Waterwitch Babes blog.
This week’s question:
Why do you appreciate Susan Dennard as an author or her work?
First of all, I know that this question may seem as though it is another method to promote Truthwitch or Susan Dennard. However, the Making Waves Meme is entirely carried out by some of the Waterwitch Babes to discuss what we are excited about in regards to our street team experience. This is the type of creativity that is sparked throughout all of the Witchlander clans. From #MislanderMondays by the Earthly Heirs to #AppreciateOurWitches with the Aether Clan, our whole collective bunch takes the street team experience and flies with so many wonderful and engaging ideas. I appreciate Susan and Nicola for creating this incredible opportunity that has changed the entire street team scene.
While most experiences on a street team are cut and dry, the Witchlanders are a family that has so much energy and warmth towards one another. These are characteristics that describe both Susan and Nicola to a tee. Having never met either one of them, I can tell you that the numerous interactions that I have had with both Sooz and Nicola have always been supportive, kind and caring. The tweets on the night of the Paris attacks were of great concern and comfort as Susan and many of us reached out to our Parisian Withchlanders to ascertain whether they were safe. Sooz is so genuine and always responds and truly cares about her fans and street teamers, big or little. Nicola always provides a sense of humour and laughter to the group that engages everyone and connects us all.
So, to put it all in words is a daunting task. I have so much more to say that really cannot be expressed in a simple blog post. I will conclude by saying that I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know my fellow Waterwitch Babes, Nicola and Susan over the course of a few months. I can tell you that these friendships will most likely carry on well after the release of Truthwitch, as there has been such an amazing connection and bond that has formed between us. So to put it simply, thank you Sooz and Nicola!
