❀ Full of Suspense
Barnabas Miller has created an amazing whirlwind of book that is full of suspense! Lately, I have been really into this genre, which is probably why I enjoyed this book so much. It honestly has it all, a mysterious scar, a night in question, a creepy sanctuary, everything that makes an interesting thriller. This is the kind of book that will blow the reader’s mind!
❀ An Enjoyable Main Character
Theo, in The Girl with the Wrong Name, is such an enjoyable main character. She is brave and curious, and goes with her instincts. Theo’s name is also really interesting, since it has an interesting backstory. One of my favourite things about her is how she wants to be a filmmaker. I always love books with film/TV components, so this book was quite entertaining for me.
❀ An Unpredictable Plot
The plot of The Girl with the Wrong Name is so unpredictable. This is the kind of book with a powerful and shocking ending that the reader won’t even see coming (think We Were Liars). However, I did feel like there were some loose ends in the book, and I have so many questions after reading it. This was sort of disappointing, because I grew pretty attached to the characters, and want to know more about what happens to them. Other than that, the plot is so fast-paced and thrilling, making this book impossible to put down.

The Girl with the Wrong Name by Barnabas Miller is a thriller with a curious main character and a twisty plot. It is a book that readers will find unputdownable, as it is so fast-paced. Fans of We’ll Never Be Apart by Emiko Jean should definitely read this book, as there are many similar components that will leave readers breathless.

It seems so good, but I tend to shy away from thrillers…I did well with daughters unto devils though, so I might give this one a shot.
