Around the World in YA Book Tag

A few weeks ago, Josie at Josie’s Book Corner posted her Around the World In YA book tag post. I thought that this post was so much fun and I decided to give it a whirl! I definitely have the desire to travel to so many places that I have only read about in books! Authors do such an amazing job creating an image in our minds of places that exist and those that are their own fantastical creations.

The rules for this tag are quite simple. List a country, and then show which favourite book of yours is set in that country. You can use any countries that excite you!

Zac and Mia by A.J. Betts is a quirky book that is quite similar to The Fault in Our Stars. This tear-jerker is set in Perth, which is in Western Australia. I am dying to visit Australia some day and this book really gives the reader a taste of life in this incredible country!

While I would love to visit anywhere in England, London is on my bucket list for sure. I really need to visit so many things there. Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Fortnum and Mason. My list goes on and on. Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier is one of those incredible books that takes you through the streets of London in an amazing time travel adventure. This book is so interesting and really captures old time London.

Wish You Were Italian by Kristin Rae is a sweet romance novel that takes place in Italy. Oh my goodness, do I need to say more? Cute boys and Rome? This is one of those books that is super fun and light. One that you should read if you are in the mood to be whisked away on a trip to Italy.

My fascination with Europe is evident here! Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins is one of my favourite contemporaries. I love books that are set in boarding schools. They seem so full of drama and intrigue. Anna and the French Kiss is set in Paris, the most romantic city that I can imagine. Perkins has given me the biggest craving to visit Paris and boy watch at a cafe.

I just received a review copy of Soundless by Richelle Mead. I haven’t even started reading it, but the synopsis is so incredible. It is set in a mysterious faraway kingdom in China and contains lots of Chinese folklore. I am so excited to lose myself into this one and go on an adventure in China!

I am not going to tag anyone in particular to do this tag. If you are interested in traveling around the world, I tag YOU!

I actually really like the sound of this tag and it looks pretty cool to me ^.^ I have to say that the choice for France is perfect. Anna and the French Kiss gives us such a lovely and detailed look into things, and interests me so much!
