Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas is probably the most intense book I’ve read this year. There is so much action and many secrets in this third instalment of the Throne of Glass series. This is a very unpredictable book with an amazing world unlike any other and is written so well the reader will be in awe.

Review: Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

❀ A favourite Series

The Throne of Glass series is definitely one of my favourites. The reader will never be able to guess what will happen next! In Heir of Fire, a whole bunch of new characters and new secrets are revealed. This book seems nothing like the first two books in the series, due to a few of the settings, but will honestly blow the reader’s mind.

❀ Multiple Settings

I really enjoyed the multiple settings (and character stories) in Heir of Fire. The world that Sarah J. Maas has created is absolutely incredible, and readers get to see more of it as Celaena is sent to a place called Wendlyn by the king. The book doesn’t take place in Wendlyn only, though. At the palace, the other characters from the other two books are included and have stories of their own. But that’s not all! A new character named Manon has been introduced! She lives in a completely different area with a bunch of witches that liven clans. Her story gave me a How to Train Your Dragon sort of vibe. She and her clan must train wild beasts used for fighting, which I thought seemed sort of like a (violent) version of the story.

❀ Beautifully Written

Heir of Fire is so beautifully written, despite the fact that it is pretty violent. Sarah J. Maas has such a detailed writing style that will just draw readers in and make them unable to put down the book. There are so many layers and complex characters that are all explained so well. Sarah J. Maas is definitely a master at writing!

❀ Fierce Novel

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas is such a fierce novel that includes new aspects, a whole bunch of settings, and is so complex. The reader will be left desperate for the next book! If you enjoy high fantasies, the Throne of Glass series is a must-read!

About Sarah J. Maas

Sarah J. Maas

Sarah J. Maas is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series (Queen of Shadows, Book 4, will be out in September 2015), as well as the A Court of Thorns and Roses series (out 5/5/15).

Sarah lives in Bucks County, PA, and over the years, she has developed an unhealthy appreciation for Disney movies and bad pop music. She adores fairy tales and ballet, drinks too much tea, and watches an ungodly amount of TV. When she's not busy writing, she can be found exploring the historic and beautiful Pennsylvania countryside with her husband and canine companion.

I really liked “Heir of Fire,” too, and I loved how so many new characters were introduced and how others evolved. My heart just hurts so much for Dorian, and I thought Aedion was a great addition to the series! Great review!
