Feature and Follow Friday #9

The Feature and Follow is hosted by two hosts Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs.

This week’s question:

How do you decide what books to read?

1. Read book reviews.

I find reading reviews on Goodreads, Bloglovin’ and Twitter to be a great resource and definitely helps me to decide what books I will enjoy.

2. Suggestions.

I rely heavily on the book suggestions of others! My friends and local librarian have been a huge influence on the books that I choose.

3. Browsing.

Sometimes, just heading to a book store or library is a great way to find new reading material. I look at the covers and if I’m intrigued by what I see, I will read the synopsis as well.

4. TBR list and blogging schedule.

Each week, I have a mini list of TBR books. Recently, I have also started to participate in Icey Books‘s What’s Next? meme. This meme helps me to sort out which book to start first based on comments from others.

Choosing a book from the old TBR pile has been more enjoyable using this technique!

Next week’s question:

How do you organize your books? Either at home on your bookshelves or on your reading-device, or on your bookish platform like Goodreads, Leafmarks or Booklikes.

See you next time on Feature and Follow Friday! Be sure to comment below if you have followed, and I will be sure to follow you back. 🙂

We have such a similar system going on, haha! I’d never heard of the What’s Next meme though, but it sounds interesting so I’ll have to participate!

I’m following you on bloglovin now – look forward to keeping up with your blog. 🙂

I try to keep myself caught up on review request and ARCs. Otherwise, I read things that I am into at any given moment. Blog reviews and recommendations from friends plays a big role in my book choices. And a nice cover helps too!

    My FF!

Goodreads! It’s been my best resource at finding new books to read! I love looking at the covers, looking at ratings, reading summaries, and browsing through the lists! Especially the “best book boyfriends” list. Lol!

    Here’s my FF!

Love the answer you put down. I have a bunch of ways to do decide a read…whether its through the library, ARC’s, or the bookstore. I am a bit obsessed with being organized so I keep spreadsheets and try to keep them organized by title, author and genre so I can read what fits my mood and do it monthly. Following your blog through WP reader. Have a great weekend.

The What’s Next meme sounds like an awesome idea! I’ll have to check that one out! I also adore browsing and being invited to books by their covers! Happy reading! 🙂

    Old Bloglovin’ follower! 🙂
